About Hypnotherapy
Hypnosis is a state into which we readily enter, often without realising it, such as when we daydream or become absorbed in a film we are watching. At our practice in Birmingham, the hypnotherapist guides the client into hypnosis using various relaxation techniques, and through stimulating their imagination to best effect. When deeply relaxed the hypnotherapy client’s subconscious mind is more receptive to positive and helpful suggestions & ideas aimed at facilitating changes in their feelings and behaviour.
During a hypnotherapy treatment the client is usually very aware of what is happening. Indeed they may not feel that anything is different other than that they are nice & comfortably relaxed and perhaps a little drowsy. At our Birmingham practice, at no point will clients do anything they do not want to.

Hypnotherapy (& NLP) can be used to support & encourage fast change to unwanted patterns of behaviour such as having difficulty relaxing, smoking, over-eating, fears and phobias etc. At our Birmingham practice we also use hypnosis to help address emotional problems, by exploring in depth why we feel or act the way we do. This can be done using regression therapy, where the client can re-examine and work towards resolving past experiences& issues.
'A happy mind is medicine...
no better prescription exists'
(Ancient proverb)
Please note that for a successful outcome using hypnotherapy, client motivation and will-power to change are necessary, since hypnotherapists & NLP practitioners work in a positive way, by focusing on the benefits that change will bring about. Your therapist at our Birmingham practice is trained to help you strengthen these where necessary.
About NLP Coaching (Neuro-linguistic programming)
It is often the case that the people who achieve what they want in life are those who have clear aims and objectives. Our NLP life-coaching practice in Birmingham can help the client identify goals and aspirations, structure plans for success, and look at how the changes required will affect the broader context of their life. Skills in understanding how others ‘tick’ can be enhanced to improve communication and interaction, leading towards mutually beneficial outcomes.
Through NLP (& hypnotherapy), our clients can be helped to explore how it will feel to accomplish their goals, which can subconsciously set the wheels of success in motion. NLP coaching can help the client to identify, pursue, develop and strengthen the skills and qualities they need, to achieve the changes and goals they desire.
Hypnotherapy and NLP combined provide a comprehensive range of creative techniques and skills to help clients quickly make positive life-changes. At our Birmingham practice we will make use of whichever hypnotherapy & NLP methods will be most valuable in helping to achieve positive results for you.
Hypnotherapy & NLP - Q & A
What happens during a hypnotherapy / NLP session?
Your first appointment at our practice in Birmingham will start with a consultation, so that the hypnotherapist can understand your situation, in order to plan the most appropriate course of treatment. They may then use one or more hypnotherapy or NLP techniques, to explore or help change your feelings or behaviour towards the problem. Sometimes just learning how to relax can be a good start. During further hypnotherapy / NLP sessions, progress will be reviewed and the treatment strategy modified accordingly.
What if I find talking about my problem difficult?
Your hypnotherapist is a trained professional, and is used to listening in a non-judgmental, open and caring way, to whatever their client chooses to tell them in the course of hypnotherapy & NLP treatments.
How many Hypnotherapy / NLP sessions will I need?
Since each situation / person is different, the number of sessions required will vary. However, the hypnotherapist at our Birmingham practice is bound by their code of ethics to work towards a positive outcome as quickly as possible.
Things to remember:
All information you give is treated in the stictest confidence.
During hypnotherapy you cannot be made to do things that you do not want to. Hypnosis is a perfectly natural state that can be used for therapeutic purposes. At Well Naturally in South Birmingham, your hypnotherapist is a fully trained and qualified, caring professional.
